About IICQS

The Institute for Interdisciplinary Computational and Quantum Systems: Experiences and Collaboration

IICQS offers long-term experiences that inspire and motivate researchers, educators, and collaborating institutions worldwide. They provide professional development opportunities for scientists, structured mentorship for junior researchers, and real-world applications for the complex molecular and quantum systems under study. There are four core research programs (Quantum Molecular Modeling, Enzymatic Dynamics, Thermodynamic and Kinetic Analysis, and Multiscale Quantum Integration), each with unique methodologies and applications that together transform computational research into predictive, interdisciplinary insight.

IICQS has defined the best practices in computational and quantum research frameworks to maximize rigor, reproducibility, and impact. We use this expertise to help research participants and affiliated institutions take full advantage of challenge-driven, high-level scientific inquiry, enabling the next generation of breakthroughs in molecular and quantum sciences.

Our Journey

A Legacy of Excellence in Enzyme Research

Founded in 2018, the Institute for Interdisciplinary Computational and Quantum Sciences (IICQS) was established to advance computational chemistry and quantum modeling at the highest levels. Building on early work in enzyme catalysis simulations (e.g., cytochrome P450), molecular dynamics, ab initio and DFT calculations, and quantum reaction pathway analysis, the institute has developed a rigorously controlled research environment.

IICQS provides an internationally accessible framework in which researchers and affiliated institutions may collaborate, contributing to QM/MM simulations, thermodynamic and kinetic modeling, and predictive multiscale quantum-chemical studies across molecular, enzymatic, and materials systems.

Our Mission

To maintain rigorous computational and quantum research frameworks that support reproducible and predictive studies of molecular systems, while providing an open platform for the publication of both advanced and exploratory scientific work.

Our Values

IICQS operates under harmonised scientific standards to prioritise methodological discipline, reproducibility, and long-term reliability. Research activities are conducted within structured frameworks ensure scientific integrity.
